First days of the rest of his life

Meet Buddy! He's an adorable 2 year old greyhound left for dead at the vets when he was taken in for acidosis caused by being raced too hard and forced to travel a long distance without water. When his owner found out he would recover but it was unlikely he would race again they told the vet to euthanise him. The vet saw that Buddy had such an amazing personality that they couldn't do it, they contacted Bec to see if she could help. Thanks to Kerry and Flip Moderz, and a vet that saw his great potential as a pet and saw the suffering and waste of life that happens so often in greyhound racing they gave this lucky dog a second chance! Today he left the vet healthy and happy (well not so happy about the desexed part) and is settling into his foster home while he waits for his new forever home!  Goodluck Buddy!   (modified extract from Bec's facebook post 1/6/2015)
